A total of 47 workers employed in the framework of the "Initiative for Rural Development in Local Authorities" are cleared and doing conditioning work on the rural road network in the municipality of Totana, said Councilwoman Comprehensive Maintenance Services and the City, Maria Jose Bedia.
The unemployed hired in the first perform these tasks turn ditch cleaning and rubbish collection until the next January 3, in different rural roads and in public spaces and facilities with similar characteristics distributed by the various councils totanera.
Currently, operators are doing this work in the Way of Hondales, John Teresa, Royal Cemetery, on the way to the shrine of the Holy and Ciudad Deportiva "Espuña" as well as in different roads of the Paretón.
Totana receives a total of 405,967 euros through the so-called Employment District Councils to combat unemployment and contribute to the development of rural areas of the municipality, which serves to recruit these unemployed in two different shifts.
The second shift, which will employ 46 workers, will be held during the first quarter of 2012.
This program aims to combat agricultural unemployment fostering the employability of these workers in emerging activities in the agricultural sector, by conducting a series of labor actions that contribute further to the enhancement of public roads and land in the municipality.
Totana is, with more than 400,000 euros, the municipality of the Shire of Guadalentín receive more funding than the total of 950,082 euros comprises the towns of Lorca, Aledo, Alhama, Puerto Lumbreras and booklets.
