The students of the course "Care Unit" that is developing from the September 15 visited the Municipal Day Centres for the Elderly located in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja on Calle Real de la Construction Ceramics.
In two visits could see the facilities, the programs and professionals who work there.
The participants in this training, in addition to see first hand the work in this area in the municipality, made the first contact made with the facility where the practice of Course Care Unit once completed the first phase of training.
During this early formative period have worked to improve the writing, actively seeking employment, and more specifically on the care dependency.
This course is driven from the city of Totana through the Department of Social Services, Citizen Participation and neighborhood associations with the funding of the City Council and the Ministry of Labour and Immigration through the Secretary of State for Immigration and Emigration.
The objective of this training is to equip participants with tools and strategies to promote optimal social and occupational integration, for it has received theoretical and practical sessions to complete the total workload.
