Specialty Care Center for Women Victims of Violence (CAVI) Totana has served a total of 1,007 interventions in the first seven months of 2011, of which 435 were in counseling, 322 on legal and care issues 250 of social counseling.
According to sources from the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, the service became operational in October 2008 in Totana, and since 3491 have been provided care, with a total of 226 women treated in this town residents.
Interventions are aimed at achieving a comprehensive and personalized care continues to give them social skills and psychological balance that allow you to overcome the consequences of abuse and prevent learning the roles of perpetrator and victim.
During the year 2011, by nationality, users who suffer or have suffered any act of physical and psychological violence were, statistically, Spain, Bolivia, Ecuador, Morocco, Algeria and Russia respectively.
