The artisan market which is usually held the last weekend of the month in the environment of the Sanctuary of Santa, will resume its activities next September, since during the hottest months of July and August will not be held this market.
In September, after going through the summer months, merchants will resume the monthly celebration of this market the last Sunday of each month from 10:00 hours until 14:00 hours.
For the implementation of this market, the Directorate General of Crafts and Trade of the Autonomous Region a grant of 11,142 euros in order to encourage tourist visits to this emblematic place at a time to strengthen and promote local crafts, which project amounts to almost 15,000 euros.
In each of these markets will be demonstrations and participatory workshops of different trades, as each month there is a monographic exhibition.
This market is intended to Totana artisans exhibit their work to visitors and master craftsmen can sell their products directly to visitors who come to the market.
All these artisans through exhibitors displaying a wide range of products such as pottery, natural cosmetics, sweets and candies, sausages, metalware, jewelry, honey, bakery, painting, cheese, tapas and alternative therapies.
