The mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and Council of Health and Popular Culture, Eulalia Sandoval and Alfonso Cayuela, respectively, participated in the closing event of the tutoring services of the Association 2010/2011 "D'Genes", held last Saturday at the Day Centre and Lifelong Learning in Hemophilia "The Pond".
During the event, also held an extraordinary assembly of the association, whose scope went from regional to national, since the association has opened several lines of work in the provinces of Albacete, Ciudad Real and Almeria.
Furthermore, it has proceeded to inform attendees of all health care services of the association and its operation, among which seven specific character which aims to improve the quality of life of patients with rare diseases.
Among these are the physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, speech therapy, cognitive stimulation, reflexology and relaxation, psychosocial care, legal and social, as well as the recent equine therapy is provided under a collaborative agreement with Murcia Therapy Association Equestrian.
In closing involved the mayor and the councilman of Health, who highlighted the tremendous work being done by socio this association of character reference in the Murcia region and encouraged them to continue in this line of social benefit.
They also announced that the City will work hand in hand with the Autonomous Community to boost Research and Reference Center for Rare Diseases and construction on a parcel of municipal property in Totana, fulfilling an agreement last plenary session of the legislature.
