Totana City Council has informed the representatives of neighborhood associations and village headman of the municipality not more economic agreements will be signed with these entities from the year 2011 to celebrate the holidays in neighborhoods and districts, given the current Consistory economic and within the set of austerity measures for the rehabilitation of the municipal coffers.
The mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and Council of City Services, María José Bedia, Celebrations and Popular Culture, Alfonso Cayuela, citizen participation and neighborhood associations, Josefa Maria Sanchez, and districts, Diego Muñoz, held an informational meeting in plenary hall to explain the new measures logistical and material support to take effect from next year.
In addition, upon completion of the entire calendar of festivals in neighborhoods and districts as of October 5 this year, will agree with the associations and neighborhood groups, a document that will determine the logistical support offered by the City Council to hold the festivities, as material elements and scenarios, electrical and lighting supports, cleaning device and security, among others.
The Session will offer five different packages to the Councillors for City Services and Celebration to coordinate actions in a planned and prevent the collapse of festivities, events and activities on the same date.
They explained that this document, on which are already working municipal technicians, is not closed or sealed, but be prepared with the collaboration of neighborhood representatives to match supply the needs of the City neighborhood tuned the costs .
Municipal officials announced that they are not going to sign more economic cooperation agreements with the associations to this end and reported that the first priority in future is to pay the outstanding payments under the agreements of previous years, in most cases are of various annuities.
