The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, along with the secretary general of Social Policy, Fernando Mateo, and the director general of Immigration and volunteering, Leopoldo Navarro, visited the 22 Lorca who were transferred last night from the residence "San Diego" Lorca to the nursing home "La Purisima" Totana a result of the earthquake in Lorca.
The mayor and the heads of the autonomous region have wanted to see first hand the health of the elderly following the earthquake, found in perfect condition, and accompanying family members.
The Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration had to relocate about 300 hours over staying at the three residences in the town of Lorca by different nursing homes in the Region of Murcia, 22 of them in Totana.
Regional officials highlighted the work they did emergency services and health to transport affected the residence "San Diego", which recorded one of those killed by natural disaster, and welcomed the willingness of those responsible for managing internal Totana from the outset.
