More than 400 children participate weekly in leisure and training activities (24/02/2011)

Over 400 children participate weekly in leisure activities in training and educational enrichment classes are held in five of the town of Totana Edutec.

The municipality Edutec reopened its doors on February 15 every afternoon with fun activities and educational support.

So this initiative, carried out by the Collective for Social Promotion "The candle" and funded by the Youth Council continues its social and educational work.

This program is conceived as a hotline for children and young people of the municipality in its own environment, encouraging active participation of the population as a reference area and creating meeting places near neighbors.

The five Edutec, including Space Tallinn that had not closed its doors, have a daily average number of participants over 150 children in the activities offered and this year have been collected more than 400 entries from the opening in the month of April.

Within Edutec have two different spaces.

In the play area are several activities that can be performed.

The programming includes various themes on which monthly work through games, workshops and guided by the monitors.

You can also find games, play-station, craft workshops, movies, tournaments, ping-pong, football, and all within the best environment, inclusive, intercultural and above all respectful to all participants.

On the other hand, Strengthening Education Classrooms where students can register both Primary and Secondary, are equipped to study and carry out assignments and whose leaders serve doubts in the implementation of those tasks, help prepare testing, offer support in subjects where needed, while providing supplementary educational material and keep track of students.
