Almost fifty people have come forward to the screening test of the course "Basic Maintenance of Buildings" to be launched by the Department of Public Works and Employment in Local Development Centre on 22 February.
This year, 300 hours, has been granted to the City by the Employment Service and Training, funded by the European Social Fund.
For the implementation of this course, and according to criteria of the SEF, has conducted a screening test, as are 15 subsidized spaces to participate in the course.
The course Basic Maintenance of Buildings, addressed to the priority group of unemployed without professional or academic requirements, will last 300 hours to develop in the mornings from 9:30 to 13:30 and from Monday to Friday classrooms of CLD.
From the Department reported that due to the number of people who came forward in this screening test will be notified 15 people unemployed, sited on the first day of school for their incorporation and the beginning of it and the rest will be on the list corresponding waiting for coverage of casualties in the course if any.
The objectives sought to comply with the development of this course are: to perform basic general maintenance tasks, preventive and corrective, in public or private buildings, ensuring order, cleanliness and maintenance in good use different spaces in the facilities of buildings, carrying out minor repairs and facilitate the implementation of maintenance or repair by relevant specialists.
