The travel program "Come to the beach!" Organized like every year by the Department of Social Welfare for the members of the various Municipal Senior Centers of the town during the summer months, continues to develop with great acceptance among people in attendance and has an average 100 participants each Thursday.
The program of this edition, organized by the Department of Elder Affairs Department of Social Welfare, is being held for the seventh consecutive year for every Thursday in July and August in the "Cala del Pino" in La Manga del Mar Minor.
This activity also has the realization of nearly a dozen trips, involving an average of more than one hundred people from municipal centers of the Third Age of Totana, the association of pensioners "Santa Barbara" and totanera hamlet of El Paretón.
The municipal council of the department, expressed his satisfaction at the great reception that are taking these trips, organized through the efforts developed by the Department of Social Welfare, in collaboration with the Board of the Senior Center, through which about a thousand people can enjoy this wonderful program every summer.
Also, the mayor pointed out that 13 to 17 September will resume output to the "Trip to Cantabria", the deadline for registration will remain open until 7 September and in October will resume monthly outings to Archena spa.
All persons interested in participating in these activities can go for more and register the Municipal Center Senior Totana, located in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja, on the first floor, in the mornings, Monday through Friday, 10 to 12 am.
