Totana City Council assists in the development of a tourist route Espuña to enhance cultural awareness among the residents of the municipality.
This activity, organized by the Integration and Service to the Community of Immigrants (ADIPSAI-RM), is framed within the activities of awareness to the Department of Social Welfare and Citizenship developed to promote awareness and acceptance of cultural diversity and coexistence in the town and its surroundings.
This activity has benefited from the assistance and participation of some 50 people of different nationalities and has been guided by the official historian of Totana, Matthew Garcia.
These people visited the baths of Alhama, the Interpretation Centre "Ricardo Codorniu", other places of the Espuña and skirts such as the area of pine squires, The Stables and Arboleja narrow path ending in the town of Aledo.
Councilman field, Juan Carrion, who accompanied the group during part of itinerary, stressed the importance of developing this type of activities to promote cohesion and peaceful coexistence and intercultural understanding through the environment, both cultural and historical Totana.
