The corporal of the Local Police of Totana, Norberto Costa, has received the Medal of Recognition of the Local Police during the II Conference of Local Police that were held last Friday at the Parador de Lorca, in recognition of his meritorious career professional in this body.
This meeting was attended by the Mayor, Andrés García, the Councilor for Citizen Security, Traffic and Emergencies, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, and the Chief Local Police Officer of Totana, Alfonso Canales.
The conference was organized by the National Union of Chiefs and Executives of the Local Police (Unijepol) of the Region of Murcia, together with representatives from Madrid, Castellón, Albacete, Alicante and Almería;
and in the same the agents received training talks about the new challenges of the profession and the importance of constant training for the performance of their work by several experts in this field.
Among the main objectives of this initiative were strategic management and road safety to combat accidents and the use of drones, among other issues.
The new Local Police Coordination Law was also addressed, which aims to regulate the attainment of a modern, qualified and efficient body, covering the demands and needs of city councils and citizens.
