On Saturday, March 24, the Half Marathon World Championship was held in Valencia, organized by the International Athletics Federation (IAAF), in which more than 14,000 runners participated.
The winners of the event were G. Kamworor (Kenya), who holds the title for the third time and NG Kebede (Ethiopia) who broke the Women's Half Marathon record by setting it up in 1 hour, 6 minutes and 11 seconds.
Up to Valencia were four members of the CAT, the first to cross the finish line was Jesus Martinez with a time of 1 hour 32 minutes and 12 seconds, after him Rut Canovas arrived with a time of 1 hour 46 minuros and 44 seconds and 69 classified in Veteran B category;
Juan Antonio Martínez and Susi Andreu both with a time of 2 hours, 07 minutes and 24 seconds.
There was also representation at the IX Run For Parkinson held in the town of Alicantina de Novelda.
Pedro Jesús Cánovas participated in the 5km test, finishing the race in a time of 33 minutes and 7 seconds, despite the strong gusts of wind and rain that were present throughout the course.
