The Popular Municipal Group will present to the Plenary that will be held tomorrow, March 22 at the City Council of Totana, a motion that seeks that the competent authorities promote a labeling plan for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The rights and welfare of people with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) are an important part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development promoted by the United Nations Organization since September 25, 2015.
One of the measures planned for this achievement is to promote communication and universal accessibility to information, promoting the regularization, standardization and standardization of signaling systems in such a way that their homogenization is achieved.
It is demonstrated that people with ASD are mainly visual learners, that is, through pictograms they have more capacity to understand orders and actions better.
People with ASD are excellent visual thinkers, because they understand, assimilate and retain better the information that is offered visually and therefore this should be one of the basic and fundamental strategies of this group.
For these issues, the Municipal People's Group will propose to the plenary session tomorrow that from the Regional Government and the dependent organizations and always taking into account the associations linked to people with ASD, that promote a Labeling Plan with pictograms in order to facilitate access to the public services of people with this disorder, adopting homogeneous guidelines to facilitate the understanding of this group.
"From the PP we believe that the City of Totana must adhere to the implementation of this Plan once it has been completed."
