The Department of Planning of the City of Totana is already processing the construction license to build the ship that will house the new Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV) on a plot of the fourth phase of the industrial estate "El Saladar" of this town.
In fact, the mayor, Andrés García, the first deputy mayor and councilor of Industry, Juan José Cánovas, the mayor of Urbanism, Carlos Ballester, and the manager of the municipal company Proinvitosa, Florencio Martínez, have recently met with the representative legal of the company to schedule the administrative procedures that allow to expedite the opening and putting into operation of this service, scheduled for before next summer.
The municipal managements are being carried out jointly between the municipal departments of Industry and Urbanism;
while the company is already carrying out the relevant procedures with the General Directorate of Industry to make the project a reality in the coming months.
This one has an approximate investment of 1.2 million euros and will be executed on a plot of more than 4,000 square meters, occupying a warehouse of about 1,000 square meters, with four tunnels of control and inspection for the preventive legal maintenance of the vehicles of in accordance with the rules of road safety and environmental protection.
The aforementioned plot is located at the intersection of Isaac Newton and Galileo Galilei streets of the Totana industrial park;
and has the full support of the Municipal Corporation, which has already approved its installation unanimously in the full plenary of November 2015.
In fact, in the land recently purchased from Proinvitosa by the investment company, work is already underway to prepare the site while the City Council is progressing in the corresponding processing of administrative licenses.
In parallel, the promoter of the project is processing the authorizations of the General Directorate of Industry of the Region of Murcia.
Currently, the technical inspection stations of vehicles closest to Totana and adjoining towns are more than 30 kilometers away, which involves an important inconvenience for the users of this service.
In Totana there are registered more than 26,000 vehicles and given that this municipality represents the third part of the Guadalentín region, the total potential of vehicles of the same could agglutinate, according to technical estimates, around 80,000.
The municipal company Proinvitosa has guaranteed the provision of the necessary land in the "El Saladar" industrial estate for the installation of this service.
Totana has this industrial park, the ideal business center for the installation of the aforementioned ITV station, given the special characteristics of this park and its excellent location, with visibility and direct access to the Mediterranean motorway, which is another great attraction for possible step users.
