The Department of Parks and Gardens of the City of Totana is continuing with its plan of reform and comprehensive refurbishment of the public green spaces of the municipality, and in this case, during this week is reforming the park of Los Cantareros, located next to the fairgrounds and the hermitage of "Nuestra Señora del Rosario" of this district.
The councilor of the branch, Víctor Balsas, has informed that it is proceeding to the arrangement and renovation of the trees, with the planting of more trees, such as mulberry trees, tipuanas and oriental plane trees, as well as more bushes, such as euryops and bougainvillea, among others.
In addition, the mayor of Parks and Gardens has explained that the work of conditioning of this park include the replacement of the gravel and shelter of this existing space next to the playground area;
and explained that these are carried out with unemployed workers in the framework of the "Regional Employment Councils" program.
Last week, the Department finalized the rehabilitation of the Garden of Las Vertientes the Aljibe de Los López, in the hamlet of El Paretón, located next to the Social Center "Juana Serrano", the Medical Office and the Senior Center of this deputation, whose actions have had a total investment of 17,000 euros, according to Balsas.
In recent months, numerous actions have been undertaken to renew and improve parks and gardens, such as those carried out in the "Buero Vallejo" Garden in the Tirol-Camilleri neighborhood, the "Tío Juan Rita" Garden in the Triptolemos neighborhood, the Jardín "Narciso Yepes", located opposite the CEIP "Santiago", among others.
The mayor of Parks and Gardens has stressed that it is fulfilling the commitment acquired to work in each of the public spaces of the neighborhoods and districts, to the extent of our possibilities, and progressively improve the state of abandonment presented by these infrastructures, with comprehensive performances in the playgrounds and green areas.
Among the actions carried out include the creation and improvement of parterres, replacement of gravel, improvement of irrigation installation, removal of trees in poor condition, planting of new trees, installation of new playgrounds and rehabilitation of existing ones, among others
