Some 700 scouts from different groups of the Region of Murcia participate this weekend in the federal meeting "Intermanadas Seeonee'2018", in the center of activities and camps "Finca Caruana" of Sierra Espuña, organized by the Scout Federation of Scouts of Murcia and the Gilwell Scout Group number 328.
The councilor of Citizen Participation, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, the vice president of the Scout Federation of Murcia, Eduardo Noguera, and the coordinator of the activity, María del Mar Madrid, presented this event that is aimed at children between 8 and 11 years old of the 34 groups that make up this entity.
The presentation was also attended by the head of the Civil Protection Volunteer Association, José María Sánchez Pascual, and the representative of the emergency health unit, Juan Antonio Martínez, who actively collaborate in the programmed activities program.
This regional meeting aims to enrich the skills, abilities and attitudes of the "Cubs" boys and girls aged 8 to 11 years old in their "herds" of origin, to develop confidently participating with the small groups to which they belong, to care about the care and respect of the environment, assume behavioral norms relating to other "Cubs" of the Region and enjoy the list of programmed activities.
Through the game and through a tour of the Selva de Seeonee, the skills of all the groups belonging to the Explorers of Murcia will be enhanced;
and the theme that will be carried out in the "Intermanadas'2018" will be to publicize the place where Mowgli lived his adventures and make a tour between activities, gymkhanas, workshops and animations prepared by stages of progression, defined by the traces of the "Cubs" (Akela, Baloo and Bagueera).
In addition, Totana City Council will collaborate in this meeting, through the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers, with the launch of workshops of the canine units and sanitary emergency, whose technicians will perform talks and exhibitions of search and rescue , first aid and emergencies, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, among others.
The "Intermanadas Seeonee'2018" will be divided into eight large blocks of activities, which includes games, numerous and multidisciplinary workshops, cooperative relays, among others;
ending with a big fair or "kermesse", which simulates the territories near the Waingunga River.
In the symbolic framework of Rudyard Kipling's "Book of the Virgin Lands," participants (Cubs and Cubs) learn to grow with the help of their "old wolves";
integrating healthy habits within the environmental care in Sierra Espuña, strengthening ties with other people, enjoying nature through experiences and promoting values ​​such as social integration, equal opportunities, creativity and coeducation, among others.
