The Department of Infrastructure has completed the paving works of sidewalks and parterres in the section that was still to be executed in Juan Carlos I Avenue, an action that has been undertaken in recent months with municipal and unemployed workers hired under the program of the "District Councils".
The works that began last November have been carried out in those spaces that affected the section between the roundabouts of the "Kabuki" and the "Donor of Blood", and that were pending execution.
The Department has undertaken these works of placement and coating of sidewalks in a stretch of more than 770 linear meters on Juan Carlos I Avenue, at the height of the Tirol-Camilleri neighborhood, in order to adapt the urban journey.
Thus, the first section was carried out at the end of last year and, now, what was missing was completed with the second turn of the program so that it has been completely completed, according to the councilor of this area of municipal management, Víctor Balsas.
The works have been executed by operators within the two shifts cited of the aforementioned program of the "District Councils" and have had a budget of 17,000 euros, thus responding to one of the main demands of residents and users of this neighborhood.
The actions have been carried out, therefore, in two phases, so that with the first quarterly turn of the program the paving works were carried out in one section, and later, in the second turn, the same works were undertaken in another space from the sidewalk completing this infrastructure until the intersection with the "Donor of Blood" roundabout.
The Department aims to gradually condition the urban stretch of the crossing that is unfinished in order to give architectural and aesthetic balance to this infrastructure that runs through the town, says the mayor Balsas.
