The mayor, Andrés García Cánovas, has recently met with members of the Board of Directors of the Illustrious Cabildo Superior de Procesiones de Totana in order to collaborate institutionally, with joint and common actions, to the extent of the existing possibilities, in Holy Week of 2018.
The alderman has shown the willingness to collaborate from the City of Totana in all actions aimed at showing off each and every one of the religious and social activities that contribute to improve and dignify this year's Holy Week;
while it has been interested in the projects that this entity has been developing.
The first mayor has maintained contact with the president of the Illustrious Cabildo Superior, José Ramón Peñalver, and executive representatives of the entity, with whom he has renewed the commitment of the government team, as has happened in previous legislatures, to encourage collaboration between both institutions aimed at promoting as many projects and initiatives as possible in the coming weeks in favor of our Holy Week.
The meeting served to coordinate the municipal services necessary for the normal development of processions and liturgical acts on public roads.
In addition, the state of the economic situation of the municipal subsidies pending to pay to the Cabildo of the last years was addressed.
In addition, during the meeting the musealization project was discussed in which the Cabildo is working on the ground floor of its headquarters, in order to project it as a tourist offer added to the visits already offered to the Museum of the Tower or La Bastida, along with the surroundings of Arcos de las Ollerías.
