Volunteers of Civil Protection in Totana have been giving informative talks about first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and simulations of fire and earthquake in the schools of the municipality.
For example, on 7 and 8 February, training talks were offered at CEIP "La Cruz" on first aid and CPR;
and on the 15th there was a fire drill, in which some 450 schoolchildren participated.
In addition, on February 16 and 23, sessions were held on the same subjects and how to act in case of an earthquake at the IES "Prado Mayor";
and soon there will be an earthquake simulation on a date that is to be determined without prior notice to the students, and in which about 850 students are trained.
The Councilor for Emergencies and Public Safety, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, and the head of the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers in Totana, José María Sánchez Pascual, attended.
