The councils of Infrastructures and Water and Sewerage have completed this week jointly the works of renovation of the supply and sanitation network in a section of the Cañada Zamora, until its intersection with the Santiago street, for what has been opened to the road traffic the affected part of this way.
These actions were included in the Regional Action Plan for the Promotion of Municipal Works and Services (PARDOS), financed by the Autonomous Community for the year 2016;
and they were carried out during the last weeks after finishing the similar actions undertaken in Cánovas del Castillo street, within the same program.
Currently, the Cañada Zamora that has been fixed in an integral way in the stretch between Avenida de Lorca and Santiago Street for a total amount of 120,000 euros, consisting of the comprehensive renovation of the sewer and paving of this road.
The PARDOS for 2016 included the works to improve Cánovas del Castillo and Cañada Zamora streets and the collection and evacuation of rainwater from Teniente Pérez Redondo street to the Arcos ravine, which were already carried out after last summer .
In addition, this regional program also included the rehabilitation of the children's playground of the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz", in which the Community contributed 74,500 euros of the total 82,700 that the work imported, and which is open to the public from the past December, with a great acceptance by users.
