The Department of Parks and Gardens of the City of Totana has rehabilitated in an integral manner during the last days the Garden of the Slopes the Aljibe de Los López, in the hamlet of El Paretón-Cantareros.

This park is located next to the Social Center "Juana Serrano", the Medical Office and the Senior Center of this council;

and the actions have had a total investment of 17,000 euros, according to the councilor responsible for this department, Víctor Balsas.

This multipurpose infrastructure has an area of ​​about 600 square meters and is located next to the service complex where the Senior Center, the Medical Center and the "Juana Serrano" Social Center of this district are located.

The mayor has reported that, of this budget, a total of 2,000 euros have been allocated to the acquisition and renovation of biosaludables games and to rehabilitate an area that since the year of its construction, in 2015, had been left to die.

The works have consisted, basically, in the installation of urban furniture in the children's play area, adapted to European regulations;

and the realization of gardening works in this green area of ​​the district, according to Balsas.

Thus, a cushioning surface has been installed on rubber, several healthy games (walk, surf, ferris wheels and pedals for bench) and new playgrounds, such as a two-seater swing, high house play, dynamic dock and an informative poster on the right use of the facilities.

In the same way, numerous gardening works have been undertaken in the area, such as the pruning of the existing plant, the cleaning and collection of the litter, the elimination of weeds, the replacement of gravel covering the land and plants in the existing parterres, and the repair and replacement of the material and irrigation elements.

The Councilor for Parks and Gardens has stressed that this action, one more of the attacks in recent months, is part of the plan for improving and upgrading these infrastructures in the urban area and the districts;

and that in the case of El Paretón, will have special incidence, without delay, during the next weeks.

He has also expressed his satisfaction at the fact that spaces are being fixed, both in Totana and in its districts, which offered a state of deplorable abandonment and which, progressively and depending on the scarce resources of the City Council, are improving ostensible way for the use and enjoyment of the neighbors.
