"We share the concern of the groups and private citizens who are given a voice through Marea Blanca, and we agree that the solution is to stop the cuts and increase investment in health, especially in the increase of human resources "
The movement in defense of Public Health known nationally as the 'White Tide', which brings together different health organizations, as well as groups of patients, has called a large demonstration next Thursday, March 1, which will start in Murcia from the Reina Sofia hospital.
With this march, we pretend to cry out before the sanitary deficiencies that as they denounce, they are suffering in the country and also in our Region.
"The state of our Public Health continues to be one of the issues that most concern us as users of a basic and first-need service, the urgency of returning the degree of excellence with which our health system counted before they began to produce the cuts by all known, must be a priority for the Spanish society as a whole. "
According to Marea Blanca, following the line of the previous ones, the health policy of cuts and lack of planning is seriously damaging patients and health professionals.
For all this, the groups that are part of the movement in defense of health, denounce the situation of abandonment of primary care, cuts in hospitals and emergency services, lack of investment and increase or replacement of staff, precariousness work of some groups of health professionals, the huge waiting lists and the saturation of hospitals, emergency services and health centers.
They also refer to the increase in social inequalities that also affect and harm the health sector, since measures such as the health co-payment mean that the situation of pensioners and families with limited resources has been aggravated when it comes to following their medical treatments. .
For what is explicitly claimed that public health must maintain its core values of solidarity, universality and equity.
"From Ganar Totana IU, we share the concern of the groups and private citizens who are given a voice through Marea Blanca, and we fully agree with the analysis of the situation that arises, as well as the solution to cease the cuts and increase investment in health, especially in the increase of human resources because as we defended in other initiatives, Health Area III, to which we belong, is one of the most affected by the inequalities with respect to rest of the region.
