The Department of Sports reports that on Saturday February 10 took place the Local Phase of School Sports Petanque, organized by this municipal department and the Petanque Club "Santa Eulalia", in the installation of the sports club.
A total of 70 school children from the different schools in the town, belonging to the alevín and open categories, participated in the mixed teams modality.
In the juvenile category, the Santa Eulalia School won the first place, followed by the San José and Comarcal schools, in the second and third positions respectively.
While in the Open category, the champion team was the IES Prado Mayor A, being second the IES Prado Mayor B, and third the Santa Eulalia School.
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies and medals to the first three teams classified in each category, by the Councilor for Urbanism, Carlos Ballester Méndez, and the vice president of the Santa Eulalia Petanque Club, Diego Méndez.
In addition, the three best teams will have the opportunity to participate in the Regional Final of School Sports Petanque, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, on Saturday February 14, which is precisely held in Totana, in the facilities of the Petanque Club "Santa Eulalia".
