The Totana Olympic will be able to make use of the soccer field of the municipal stadium "Juan Cayuela" in his next league match in two weeks, on February 18, in his match against EF Alhama, after the replanting works of the lawn rushed last January and after the waiting time necessary in these cases, as reported by the Department of Sports.
The Department began these tasks at the beginning of last January, taking advantage of the league break, making the reseeding of natural grass on the football field in order to ensure its conservation and maintenance until the end of this season, which has forced the first team of the Olympic and others of the club to dispute their encounters in the field "Bernardo Cánovas", in El Paretón.
These works came to respond to the poor condition of the "Juan Cayuela" playing field recently as a result of the arrival of winter, which have been undertaken by technicians from the "CADE" totanera company for an amount greater than 7,000 euros. .
Therefore, it is foreseen that this installation can be used again from the third weekend of February;
and it is foreseen that in the two remaining weeks it will improve even more if the low temperatures and the weather respect the current state of the lawn.
The decision to replant the football field was agreed between the Department of Sports and the Olympic Club of Totana, which is the largest beneficiary of the use of this public sports facility.
