The Sociocultural Center "La Cárcel" of Totana will be the stage that will host on March 3 the 4th Forum of Education and Emotion, which will feature the participation of prestigious specialists and experts in this field;
and is organized by the Association "Fun Leisure and Diversity".
This is a pedagogical initiative framed and promoted within the program of activities of the University Extension Headquarters of the University of Murcia (UMU) in Totana, launched last year in this municipality.
The Councilor for Education, Eulalia Moreno, the representative of the University Extension Headquarters of the UMU in Totana, José Antonio Romera, and the spokesperson of the Association "Diversion Leisure and Diversity", Pedro Valenzuela.
The forum has the collaboration of the City of Totana and the Obra Social "La Caixa";
and registrations can be made with a fee of 22 euros until February 15 and 30 euros from February 16, respectively;
and the collection of the meeting will go to the pro-refugees NGO "Proactiva Open Arms".
The meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The singer and musician Manu Sequera will participate as speakers, who will explain the benefits of music therapy applied to pedagogical methods;
and the astrophysicist and manager of the pioneering blog in neuroeducation that is entitled "School with a brain", and in which he researches about the educational applications of cognitive sciences.
In addition, the psycho-pedagogue and expert in emotional intelligence and author of various books dedicated to school, childhood and active didactics, Mar Romera;
members of the "Hélade Project", which is a training that aims to offer creative and innovative musical shows and family leisure;
and the psychologist and expert in emotional education, Óscar Sánchez.
Also they will participate, according to explained during the presentation, professors of the CEIP "Ricardo Codorniú" of Alhama de Murcia.
The promoters invited and encouraged the teachers of Totana to participate in this forum, which has become a reference at the level of educational research methods in the Region of Murcia.
