The urbanization "La Ramblica" of Totana hosted on Saturday January 20 the Local Phase of School Sports Orientation, organized by the Department of Sports and the Guidance Club, which involved a total of 114 schoolchildren from the different schools of the locality, belonging to the categories juvenile, infantile, cadet and juvenile, as much in masculine modality as feminine.
In the alevín category, Sergio Mulero Moreno (La Cruz) won first place in the men's category, while Ania López Blaya (Reina Sofía) did the same in the women's category.
In the children's category, Héctor Cánovas Cánovas and Marta Martínez Barceló, both from IES Juan de la Cierva, were the champions in the men's and women's categories, respectively.
In the male cadet category, Manuel Martínez Barceló (IES Prado Mayor) climbed to the top of the podium, as in the female cadet, María Molino Castillo (IES Prado Mayor).
Finally, in the youth category, Joaquín Cánovas Díaz and Alba Martínez Ibáñez, representing the IES Juan de la Cierva, were the champions in their respective modalities.
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies to the first three classified in each of the categories, by the Councilor for Sports, Isabel María Molino López, and several representatives of the Orienteering Club in Totana.
In addition, the best qualified will have the opportunity to participate in the South Zone Conference on School Sports Orientation, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, and that will take place precisely at the Sanctuary of La Santa de Totana, on Saturday February 3rd.
