The Department of Parks and Gardens of the City of Totana has completed the works of comprehensive renovation and improvement of the Garden "Buero Vallejo", located in the Tirol-Camilleri neighborhood, which had a large state of neglect and very deteriorated.

The councilor who manages this municipal area, Víctor Balsas, explained that the actions have consisted basically in the renewal of surface gravels, replacement of the irrigation pipes of the trees, placement of the rubber pavement approved for children's games and placement of 13 new semi-dense trees that give shade in summer (casuarina species).

The improvement works, which have been undertaken by municipal staff and the program of the "District Councils", have also allowed the placement of a new slide in the area of ​​recreational games for children, whose total cost amounts to more than 7,000 euros, according to has indicated Balsas.

In addition, during these days the Department is proceeding to perform other actions in the Garden "Tío Juan Rita", in the area of ​​Triptolesmos, as the planting of more trees, basically mulberry trees, and other plant species such as Lantana, as well as the conditioning of the beds.

The councilor has specified that during the first quarter of this year are going to undertake, also, improvement actions in the parks of the parish of El Paretón and the gardens "Narciso Yepes" and Blue Park next to the Convent of the Three Hail Marys-, these last two in the urban case of Totana.

The mayor of Parks and Gardens has recalled that in the coming weeks is scheduled to begin several comprehensive activities in the playgrounds and green areas in the hamlet of El Paretón-Cantareros, which will be held within the framework of the program of "District Councils of Employment ".

Among the actions that will be carried out include the creation and improvement of beds, replacement of gravel, improvement of irrigation installation, removal of trees in poor condition, planting of new trees, installation of new playgrounds and rehabilitation of existing , among other.
