Civil Protection of Totana informs that the road from Las Alquerías to the Collado Bermejo, in the Sierra Espuña regional park, has been cut this morning to traffic, from the first hour, by the ice sheets accumulated in the roadway and that have occurred during this night as a result of the registered rainfall.
The snow began to set in the municipality in the early morning from 1,150 meters, at the height of Collado del Pilón and in the area of ​​Eva 13 Sierra Espuña, whose levels have been concentrated up to five inches of snow, according to the same sources.
Citizens who want to access the place to visit the snow will have to leave their vehicles parked in the area of ​​Las Alquerías during the day today and do it on foot to the highest points.
In addition, it is recommended to the neighbors that during the next days do not go up the access roads to the Natural Park of Sierra Espuña without the anti-slip chains or do it with much caution;
