After the high temperatures that we are having since the end of December, the Christmas holidays will be dismissed with an important change of time, report from Civil Protection of Totana on social networks.
It will start today, Friday, the 5th with the arrival of a front in the west of the peninsula, producing rains and falling temperatures.
The front will reach the Mediterranean area on Saturday, where it will form a storm that will maintain instability in many areas of Spain until Monday.
The precipitations will be in many cases in the form of snow due to the remarkable descent of the temperatures that are going to take place, especially in the northern half of Spain, center and in the mountains of Jaén and Albacete.
Regarding the Region of Murcia, the position of the storm is not going to favor us to have remarkable precipitations.
The episode starts in Murcia on Friday with a drop in temperatures, but will still be high.
On Saturday the front will arrive and there will be weak, snowfall in high levels of the mountains of the interior and temperatures will drop significantly.
On Sunday will continue to lower temperatures and may produce some weak showers, snow in the mountains.
On Monday some rainfall can still be recorded.
The forecast is complicated because it will affect an important bag of cold air in height.
From its exact position (very erratic at times) and from the formation on the surface of small centers of low pressure to the south of the peninsula, it will depend on whether it precipitates more or less in the Region of Murcia, although in principle it is not a very favorable situation for us.
The temperature drop is assured.
"From Civil Protection of Totana we will keep you informed of any updates that may occur, in case the rainfall is more remarkable than expected at this time," the statement concludes.
