The mayor of Totana, Andrés García, has recently met with an executive delegation of the Spanish Red Cross in the Region of Murcia in order to work on the restoration and implementation of the Local Assembly in this municipality, as well as evaluate the progressive implementation of the main socio-health programs that this organization promotes in this autonomous community.
The meeting was attended by the president of the Spanish Red Cross in Mazarrón and regional head of the Immediate Response Teams (ERIE) of this organization, the psychologist María del Carmen Navarro, and the director of Local Development of the Red Cross in the Region. , Rosa Navarro.
The aim of the Spanish Red Cross is to reopen with its own autonomy the delegation of the Local Assembly, which for years became one of the most referenced in the autonomic territorial network, since in fact it has some premises of its property on the avenue Juan Carlos I of this town.
The mayor will promote in the coming weeks a meeting with technicians and politicians of the councils of Youth, Social Welfare and Employment in order to coordinate joint actions that allow the implementation in early 2018 of training courses and programs in Totana
The idea is to promote the constitution of the new Board of Directors and to promote, with the collaboration of the Totanero Consistory, those initiatives that are likely to be implemented in this municipality.
Spanish Red Cross in the Region of Murcia has been developing aid programs for the elderly, children and families, and projects through the Youth Red Cross.
It also develops other social initiatives of International Cooperation, Environment, Relief and Emergencies Plan;
and others for the disadvantaged on Employment, Training and Foreign Persons Plan;
and on Prevention and Promotion of Health, Drug Addiction, Affected HIV-AIDS, sex workers and penitentiary institutions.
Spanish Red Cross in the Region of Murcia has been developing for years training programs for intervention, inclusion and population;
and it counts in the autonomous community with more than twenty local assemblies.
The first is the main axis of the Red Cross Training Plan and seeks to train volunteers and staff for the development of programs and projects carried out in the different territorial areas.
It is proposed a training procedure with different itineraries depending on the positions of action, optimizing the training actions, through modular and personalized systems, which may have a common interest for the volunteers and personnel involved in the different projects.
In addition, training for inclusion is a program that seeks to promote social inclusion, social participation and improve the employability of people in vulnerable situations, contributing to adapt their personal and professional skills to the needs of the labor market, of various training actions, ranging from formative actions linked to non-formal education and aimed at children and youth at risk or social difficulty, to training for employment.
Finally, a general training program of training actions aimed at individuals who want to acquire knowledge to increase their skills and competences is developed by conducting courses in those areas of intervention of the Red Cross such as courses in the area of ​​Socorros and Prevention (First Aid, DESA, Pediatric PPAA), Sociosanitary (Social care of dependent persons, Patient Mobilization, Care of patients with Alzheimer's) or Socio-educational (Free Time Monitor, School dining room monitor, etc.).
