The mayor, Andrés García, and the president of the Musical Group of Totana, Juan Carrión, accompanied by the councilman of Culture, Eulalia Moreno, have recently signed in the plenary hall the collaboration agreement with this cultural entity for the amount of 6,000 euros for the year 2017.
This agreement is retaken by the municipal government after it has not been signed since 2011, and it aims to boost the participation of this entity and promote the realization of cultural activities and initiatives that are held in this municipality.
This also aims to contribute to the promotion and consolidation of associations through this economic aid, in order to ensure better functioning and greater stability of this cultural association that brings together around music education to so many residents of the municipality.
As an expression of this collaboration, the City Council has entered in the general budget of 2017 the amount indicated above of 6,000 euros to financially support the expenses of the Association, which include School of Music and Music Band.
This money will be used to cover part of the expenses of Management of the Training Bands and the Titular Band, taking into account that other management expenses can be assumed provided there is a budget allocation for them.
In addition, the City Council is committed to assume the cleaning and electricity and water costs of the premises used by the Association Musical Association, located in the Sociocultural Center "La Cárcel", as usual.
The Consistory cedes the full use of the premises of the first floor, where is the School of Music, in this case, the Essay Room, Classroom Musical Language, Piano Classroom, Office, Guitar Room, toilets and changing rooms;
while the Musical initiation classroom is shared with the Santiago Choir.
In the first floor where the Training Classrooms are located, the non-exclusive use of two classrooms is transferred.
For the indicated collaboration, the Association will carry out the educational work in the School of Music, where classes of musical initiation, preparatory, musical language, guitar, saxophone, clarinet, flute, oboe, tuba and euphonium, trombone, piano are taught. , violin, trumpet and percussion.
For its part, the Association will be responsible for managing the collection of receipts for the classes taught and hiring the teachers of the School of Music, assuming at all times all the responsibility involved.
On the other hand, the Banda de la Agrupación Musical, committed itself to carry out the following performances, all of them already celebrated: in March, concert Marchas Semana Santa (Performance performed at the signing date);
in June, Corpus Christi Procession;
in December (1/12 / 2017- Band Music Concert on the occasion of the Patron Saint Festivities, 8/12 / 17- Reception with the Authorities in the Rulo to Santa Eulalia and transfer to the Church of San Roque, 12/9/17 - Procession from San Roque Church to the Church of Santiago, 12/10/2017 - Procession of Santa Eulalia and 17/12/2017 - Parade and procession of floral offering to Santa Eulalia).
Any performance, which is not included in this agreement, and in which the Music Band is required, will be negotiated with the City Council for its contribution, depending on the performance.
