The assembly included an intense debate between a group of almond producers, the management, the governing board of COATO and the rest of the partners.
After a secret vote, 74%, three quarters of the votes, approved the management and accounts for the 2016-2017 financial year that the group of critical almond growers wanted them not to go ahead to block the activity of the cooperative, such as they had announced repeatedly in various social networks.
The governing council expressed its great satisfaction with the overwhelming support for its management, both in the fruit and vegetable sector and in the main almond producers, which together represent more than 85% of the cooperative's turnover.
The assembly also learned, before voting and approving the management and accounts for the 2016-2017 financial year, both the audit report for the year, and the accounting and fiscal report for the same period that was presented by the heads of the ACR and PROMER companies. respectively.
The president of COATO concluded the meeting after 2 am on Friday, after approval by suspension of the same, transferring to the governing board the proposal to address the pending agenda items, in a meeting next month of January.
At the request of the governing council, the assembly was held in the presence of a notary, who was responsible for drawing up the minutes and collecting each and every one of the incidents and demonstrations about the assembly and the voting, which were held by the assistants both verbally and in writing.
In addition, the scrutiny and voting results were carried out in the presence of the notary himself, who attested to the final results.
