The Councilor for Social Welfare, Javier Baños, has delivered, on behalf of the users of the two day centers for the disability of the Totana City Council, the president of the Association of Merchants, Francisco Andreo, of the Christmas decorations that will decorate in a uniform way the different establishments adhered to this entity during the next festive dates.
The event took place in one of the day centers with the presence of the users of the day centers for people with mental illness and intellectual disability, respectively, who have carried out these works during the last months, as well as with the monitors that They have coordinated and oriented these tasks.
This year we have made a total of 95 ornaments that will be distributed by the shops of Totanaadheridos to the Association of Merchants of this town, and that is the result of the collaboration that day centers have been carrying out with this entity for several years .
The adornments are large bells that are configured with five angels each of them that inspire the Christmas spirit, and that are placed on an iron foot, while others will go loose to place them in any space of commerce, they explained.
The materials used are paper, cardboard, rubber eva, nanas, paint and a lot of imagination;
and since it is a more elaborate and complex detail in its preparation, it has taken them since the beginning of the year for the design, preparation of tasks and preparation of materials.
The mayor of Social Welfare thanked the professionals of the centers and users for the important work they have done during this time and showed their satisfaction for completing, one more year, the commission of the Association of Merchants.
The president of the Association of Merchants congratulated the users for their invaluable collaboration in this new project and said he was proud of the work done, so that when Christmas arrives and we see the decoration of the shops we will remember the magnificent work done by the users of both centers.
