The School of Dance De Rosa got this Sunday the first prize in the traditional Parade of Floats organized by the City of Mazarrón coinciding with the end of the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of the Purísima Concepción.
18 groups participated in an event that offered color and fun during a peaceful morning.
The parade started from Antonio Machado Street and continued along La Vía Street, to continue on San Pascual Street and finish at its junction on Avenida de la Constitución.
The second prize went to the Comparsa Salsalá, the third prize for the AMPA of the CEIP La Aceña, the fourth for the AMPA of the CEIP Francisco Caparrós, the fifth for the AMPA of the CEIP Manuela Romero and the sixth prize for the float of José Ángel Munuera .
The awards ceremony took place in the Tent of the Day Fair in charge of the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and the councilor of Festejos Patricio Sánchez.
The amount of the prizes awarded was 1,500 euros for the first, 1,000 for the second, 500 euros for the third and 400 euros for the fourth, fifth and sixth place.
The Classic Vehicle Association opened the parade, followed by the Mazarrón Drum and Bugle Band, to make way for a float representative of the Mazarrón Carnival.
He was followed by the King's carriages, children's queen and bridesmaids, the Queen of the Holidays, the Third Age, an orchard carriage, the Puerto de Mazarrón Drum Band and the floats that entered the contest.
The jury valued, to award the first place, the staging and choreography of the members of the float of the Rose Dance School, inspired by Ancient Egypt.
