The parish priest of the church of Santiago El Mayor, Francisco José Fernández, presided today at the Holy Mass that has been celebrated in this parish on the occasion of the feast of the Patron Saint of Totana, Santa Eulalia de Mérida.
Numerous parishioners, civil and religious authorities, as well as representatives of the Board of Trustees of the La Santa Foundation, attended the Eucharist celebrated in the parish church, coinciding with the onomastics of the Patron Saint.
The religious acts will continue today, from 17:00 hours, with the solemn procession with the image of the Patron who will travel the main streets of the urban area.
In addition, the program will continue next Sunday, December 17, with the wreath and the concentration of the participants in the Glorieta del Convento to leave in the direction of the Plaza de la Constitución, where the traditional offering to Santa Eulalia de Mérida will be held.
That day, coinciding with the wreath, the Masses will be suppressed at 12:00 noon in the parish of Santiago and at 1:00 p.m. in the Three Hail Marys, respectively.
Finally, from December 11 to 19, the solemn novena will be celebrated to the Patron Saint, who, on this occasion, will preach the parish priest of Santiago El Mayor, Francisco José Fernández García, with the following working hours (7:30 p.m.) and Holidays (7:00 pm).
