The City Council will sign two collaboration agreements with the associations "Agrupación Musical de Totana" and "Amigos de la Música de El Paretón" for the year 2017 (05/12/2017)

The Local Government Board has recently approved collaboration agreements with associations "Agrupación Musical de Totana" and "Amigos de la Música de El Paretón" for the year 2017, in order to boost their participation and promote the realization of activities and cultural initiatives that are celebrated in this municipality.

With this agreement it is also intended to contribute to the promotion and consolidation of the association through timely economic collaboration, to ensure better functioning and greater stability of these cultural associations.

Totana Musical Group

As an expression of this collaboration, the City Council has allocated in the general budget of 2017 the amount of 6,000 euros to financially support the expenses of the Association, which include School of Music and Music Band.

This money will be used to cover part of the expenses of Management of the Training Bands and the Titular Band, taking into account that other management expenses can be assumed provided there is a budget allocation for them.

In addition, the City Council is committed to assume the cleaning and electricity and water costs of the premises used by the Association Musical Association, located in the Sociocultural Center "La Cárcel", as usual.

The Consistory cedes the full use of the premises of the first floor, where is the School of Music, in this case, the Essay Room, Classroom Musical Language, Piano Classroom, Office, Guitar Room, toilets and changing rooms;

while the Musical initiation classroom is shared with the Santiago Choir.

In the first floor where the Training Classrooms are located, the non-exclusive use of two classrooms is transferred.

The City Council will provide an official for the performance of tasks that require administrative assistant from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., two days a week, as well as any staff that participates in training programs to which this City Council .

For the indicated collaboration, the Association will carry out the educational work in the School of Music, where classes of musical initiation, preparatory, musical language, guitar, saxophone, clarinet, flute, oboe, tuba and euphonium, trombone, piano are taught. , violin, trumpet and percussion.

For its part, the Association will be responsible for managing the collection of receipts for the classes taught and hiring the teachers of the School of Music, assuming at all times all the responsibility involved.

On the other hand, the Banda de la Agrupación Musical, will carry out the following performances: in March, concert Marchas Semana Santa (Performance performed at the signing date);

in June, Corpus Christi Procession;

in December (1/12 / 2017- Band Music Concert on the occasion of the Patron Saint Festivities, 8/12 / 17- Reception with the Authorities in the Rulo to Santa Eulalia and transfer to the Church of San Roque, 12/9/17 - Procession from San Roque Church to the Church of Santiago, 12/10/2017 - Procession of Santa Eulalia and 17/12/2017 - Parade and procession of floral offering to Santa Eulalia).

Any performance, which is not included in this agreement, and in which the Music Band is required, will be negotiated with the City Council for its contribution, depending on the performance.

Friends of Music El Paretón

Under this agreement, the City of Totana has also entered in the general budget of 2017 the amount of 4,000 euros to defray the expenses of this association, and pledging to collaborate in the patron festivities of El Paretón (July and August) and in the Conciertos de marchas passionarias, and in the concert in honor of Santa Cecilia.

For its part, the Consistory is also committed to cede the use of a multipurpose room of El Paretón for the development of the activities of the association, as well as to assume the costs of electricity, water and cleaning of the local, and install a scenario fixed in said infrastructure for the organization of local activities.

It is also committed to the maintenance of repairs of the premises as well as any other extraordinary expense and collaboration, within the budgetary possibilities.
