The Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM) today published the final approval of the General Municipal Budget of the Totana City Council for the year 2017.

The Plenary approved on October 17, with the votes in favor of the PSOE and Win Totana-IU and against the PP and the not attached councilor, the general municipal budget of the Totanero Consistory and the two companies PROINVITOSA and CEDETO for the year 2017 , for a total amount of 32.5 million euros.

The proposal included the bases for the execution of the general budget for 2017 and the staffing plan for the same fiscal year, which includes active staff credits and the allocation of vacancies to be filled in this year.

The City Council of Totana was obliged to submit a mandatory and binding report from the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration approval of municipal budgets, as set out in the provisions of RDL 8/2013, of June 28, measures urgent against the delinquency of the public administrations and of support to local entities with financial problems.

This budget is intended to stabilize the economic situation and initiate a procedure to reduce the municipal debt, since the municipal accounts are subject and adapted to the obligations and financial and accounting structure of the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, given the current complex economic situation -financiera totanero Consistory.

This case is for municipalities that present a volume of debt that is subject to compensation through withholdings in the participation in State taxes and that is usually higher than their non-financial income, deducted from the liquidation of budgets for the year 2012;

as well as for municipalities that enter into credit operations to finance the remaining negative treasury for general expenses.

The investment chapter amounts to 1.3 million euros, of which 90% will be executed before the end of this year, and of these 214,662 euros correspond to grants from the Autonomous Community.

Among these, the works of the new park of the neighborhood of San José are collected, actions of improvement in the network of supply and sanitation in several streets of the urban helmet, the renovation of parking meters of the ORA, the acquisition of vehicles for several municipal services and the improvement of applications and computer resources, among others.
