The 8th Folkloric Children's Festival of Totana will be held next Saturday, December 2 at the theater of the Sociocultural Center "La Cárcel" (9:00 p.m. 9), and will host the group of choirs and dances "Ciudad de Totana", that organizes the event, and the Peña "El Caliche" of Los Garres (Murcia).
The councilman of Celebration, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, and the president and vice president of this association, Lola López and Rosario Tudela, recently presented this cultural activity framed within the program of patron saint festivities of Santa Eulalia.
The entrance to the assistants is free and the activity is organized by the group of Choirs and Dances "City of Totana", with the collaboration of the councils of Celebrations and Cultural of the totanero Consistory.
This entity has been teaching dance classes throughout the year in the social center of the San Francisco neighborhood, in the initial, advanced and adult levels in order to promote popular traditions and local and regional folklore.
At present, there are 24 students who receive these classes, of which 20 are girls and 4 boys, respectively.
The councilor encouraged folklore fans to attend this festival and congratulated the board of directors of the folkloric group for contributing with this activity to expand and traditionally improve the program of cultural events of the festival program of Santa Eulalia.
