The celebrations start this weekend and will last for two weeks, with the news of the transfer of the Day Fair (side of the park) and the new Gastronomic Fair (Plaza Balsa Vieja)
Theater, concerts, sports, variety shows and gastronomy make up the main attractions of the wide and varied program of festivities of Santa Eulalia'2017 of Totana organized by the Concejalía de Festejos, in collaboration with associations and professional and social collectives of this town.
The town councilor, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, has presented the extensive program of events, which has a budget of about 20,000 euros, which begin this weekend and will last for the next two weeks, during which they are concentrated most cultural, sports and religious activities.
This year, as news, highlight the transfer of the popular Day Fair, which will be held from December 1 to 10, at the side of the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz", organized by AEMHOS;
and the celebration of the new Gastronomic Fair, from December 4 to 10, in the Plaza Balsa Vieja, promoted by the Hotel and Catering Trade Association of the Totana Center.
The program begins this weekend with the "Jurassic Market", in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja, a new version of this type of attractions;
and contemplates attractive musical activities and concerts such as the tribute to "The Beatles", by the group "The Flaming Shakers" (November 25), monologue "El Sevilla" (December 3), musical tribute "The Lion King" (5 December) and the concert "Una noche en México" (December 8).
In addition, institutional acts are contemplated, such as the appointment of the Favorite Son of the City of Totana to Ginés Rosa López (December 1) or the inauguration of the Civil Protection Volunteer Square of Totana (December 5) - the old Los Franceses roundabout.
The sport returns to have protagonism in this program with classic activities, like the Popular Race "Day of the Constitution" (6 December), V Championship Rugby Schools (December 5), Competition of Petanque (December 2), XXXII Championship of Hunting Minor with dog (December 3), IV Artistic Skating Trophy "Friendship" (December 9), among others.
Other classics in this program are the XIII Concentration of Classic Vehicles (December 3) and the theater with the play "Cyrano de Bergerac" (December 6) and "Pepa that comes Easter" (December 17).
This year, as novelties, the 1st Dog Show of Dogs Detectors (3 December) and the I Canine Contest "ASCATO" (December 16) are also organized.
For its part, the fairgrounds are open to the public to enjoy the attractions offered from Friday, December 1: that day, throughout the afternoon, will be held the "Day of the Fair," with the possibility of uploading with the promotion 2x1;
while on December 7 will be the "Children's Day", at the price of 1.50 euros each attraction.
As they are already traditional, the program includes popular cultural activities, such as the Musical Evening (November 25), the IX Festival of Choirs and Rondallas (November 26), concert of the Musical Association (December 1) and the VIII Children's Folkloric Festival (2 December), among others.
The hand programs and magazines - published for the second consecutive year - with the activities of the patron saint festivities will be distributed starting Wednesday, November 22 at the Tourism Office (Plaza de la Balsa Vieja) and the Sociocultural Center "La Cárcel" , respectively.
The program, of which 4,500 copies have been published, presents a stamped image of the atrium and the image of Santa Eulalia, and the anthem to the Patroness;
and can be collected in both municipal offices, during office hours
As a novelty, for the second year in a row, along with the handheld programs, 4,000 color magazines are also distributed, which have a zero cost for the municipal coffers, given that the editor in charge of these works has reserved the advertising management included in the publication .
The magazine includes articles on Totana cultural and costumbrista aspects, as well as the list of activities programmed for these patron festivities and an informative review, as a glossary, on the most relevant events of the municipal news of 2017.

The Councilman of Celebrations thanked and congratulated the associations, companies and professional groups for their involvement and generosity in the development of the program and for making possible a varied cast in the cultural, sports and entertainment;
as well as the municipal technicians of his department, and the Department of City Services, Local Police and Civil Protection.
