The Department of Parks and Gardens of the City of Totana informs that from next January there will be numerous comprehensive actions in the playgrounds and green areas in the hamlet of El Paretón-Cantareros, which will be held within the framework of the program of "District Employment Councils".
In the largest hamlet of the municipality will carry out different actions, such as the creation and improvement of parterres, replacement of gravel, improvement of irrigation installation, removal of trees in poor condition, planting of new trees, installation of new playgrounds and rehabilitation of existing ones, among others.
The mayor of the branch, Víctor Balsas said that the technicians of the Department have been working since the beginning of the term in a road map, which entails the improvement of our parks and gardens.
"As it is logical a road map that is for four years, since the lack of maintenance that we drag in recent times, can not be met overnight," says the councilman.
"This road map began in October 2015 with the investment of 5,000 euros in the garden next to the Tierno Galván school, and was followed by performances in parks such as Diego Manzano, Triptolemos, Recinto Ferial and La Cárcel," he said.
In addition, the councilor explained that "at present, we are in full phase of rehabilitation of the playground of urbanization" La Báscula "and the municipal park" Marcos Ortiz. "At the beginning of next year, a space will be created green and children's games in the neighborhood of San José, historical demand by the residents of this neighborhood, along with other actions that will encompass the parks and gardens of the districts of the municipality, "said Víctor Balsas.
The mayor of Parks and Gardens says "that so far in the legislature, between the resources of the municipality, and resources of the Autonomous Community have been invested in the improvement of our parks and gardens a figure that exceeds 200,000 euros."
Finally, Víctor Balsas wants to recall that in the reports that were endorsed by the State Employment Service under the Ministry of Employment, the program of the Regional Employment Councils, apart from the cleaning of 31 kilometers of roads in the municipality and the completion of Juan Carlos I avenue (Tirol-Camilleri district), investments in the improvement of parks and gardens are contemplated for the amount of 8,500 euros.
These actions will include important improvements in the "Buero Vallejo" garden, the planting of 30 mulberry trees in the Rambla de La Santa avenue, the "La Cárcel" garden, "Narciso Yepes" garden, "Tío Juan Rita" garden and the gardens and parks of the parish of El Paretón-Cantareros.
