Neighbors and users are kindly asked to understand the inconvenience caused during the time the works are extended
The Department of Works and Infrastructure informs that today, Monday, November 13, the sanitation and paving works of the Cánovas del Castillo Street within the POS of 2016 begin definitively.
This action will entail the consequent cut of the road and temporary prohibition of access to garages by neighbors and users, as reported by the mayor Víctor Balsas, who has asked for understanding to users and neighbors for any inconvenience that may be caused from in the morning and for as long as the work continues.
During the last week the parking prohibition signs were placed and the street cut was processed with the Local Police.
The street will be cut during the work day and will try to leave the circulation open during the night, although it will depend exclusively on the development of the works.
In addition, the City also last week made a mailing to the affected neighbors informing them of the circumstances of access to the garages due to the execution of the works.
The paving works on Cánovas del Castillo and Cañada Zamora streets have a total budget of 88,200 euros, are financed by the regional government through the aforementioned program;
and this included the works of collection and evacuation of rainwater from Teniente Pérez Redondo Street to the Rambla de los Arcos, for just over 17,300 euros, which were already executed two months ago.
In the case of Calle Cánovas del Castillo, it is planned to renew the supply and sanitation network;
while the street Cañada Zamora will be conditioned, in a first phase, to García Alix Street for the amount of 120,000 euros, as explained by the mayor of the branch.
In addition, the PARDOS for 2016 also includes the rehabilitation of the children's playground of the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz", in which the Community contributed 74,500 euros of the total 82,700 that the work imported.
