The Illustrious Superior Chapter of Processions, entity in which are represented the seventeen Fraternities and Brotherhoods of the city of Totana, wants to thank the International Association of Relatives and Affected of Lipodystrophies, AELIP, for the recognition that will be granted in the Awards AELIP 2017 in the category of Citizen Participation.
The Illustrious Cabildo considers AELIP as an association of extreme importance at present, its main purpose is to help families that are affected by lipodystrophies, as well as to promote activities and raise awareness of the problems and needs to which Families affected by this disease face their day to day lives;
so that the quality of life of those affected and their families can improve.
Since the collaboration of the Ilustre Cabildo Superior de Procesiones with AELIP was born, the activities in which all the possibilities have been provided to join forces and support the cause have been different.
Actions such as the already well-known evening - in which the Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods participate, with the different Musical Groups or Bands of Cornets and Drums of the same, in addition to the reading of the manifesto with which it is intended to raise awareness both to the population and to entities public, in order to extend the study and treatment of lipodystrophies.
This recognition will be delivered in the V Solidarity Food Edition to be held next Sunday, November 19, 2017 in the Venta de la Rat Restaurant, an event that has been carried out in recent years and whose purpose is to inform the public the importance of lipodystrophies in the framework of rare diseases.
