The Brotherhood of Jesus at Calvary and the Holy Supper of Totana will hold presidential elections on November 18 during an extraordinary assembly, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Brotherhood's premises in San Antonio Street, 101.
Previously, an ordinary meeting will take place (4:30 p.m.), for the presentation and approval, if applicable, of the last economic report.
After this, an hour later, the extraordinary meeting will be held with a single point on the agenda referring to the vote for the election of the new President.
In this assembly, the new president will be elected to replace Alfonso S. Giménez Legaz, who has held this position for the past four years.
The rules of participation in the election process of the new president of the Brotherhood are to be a brother / sister of legal age and to be up to date with the corresponding quotas (right to vote).
In addition, in the event that there is more than one candidacy during the process, the conditions set forth in the Statutes of the Brotherhood and, in any case, in the Statutes of the Illustrious Superior Chapter of Processions will be established.
Once the candidatures have been presented, the election will be carried out secretly, corresponding one vote per person, and accrediting the corresponding DNI.
In the same way, once the ballot has been executed, a candidate who has obtained a qualified majority of two thirds (2/3) of the votes cast in the first ballot or, an absolute majority of the said members in the second or subsequent ballots, will be appointed President.
In the event no candidate obtains any of the required majorities, the votes will be repeated with the two most voted candidates.
