The doctor in Literature by the University of Murcia and writer lorquino, Juan Antonio Fernandez Rubio, carried out last Tuesday night, in the Municipal Library "Mateo Garci'a", and on the occasion of the "Day of the Libraries", a talk on prison poetry, which fascinated about twenty attendees.
The talk, started with the intervention of the speaker, citing and reading poems of several poets who had been imprisoned in the building because of civil war, also talking about Eliodoro Puche and Miguel Hernandez, among others.
At the end of the paper, María Dolores Rodríguez, Juan Ruiz, and Pedro Pérez read several poems by Miguel Hernández.
As a closing of the talk, the Councilor for Crafts and Commerce, Antonia Camacho, in the absence of the mayor of Culture, Eulalia Moreno, who was unable to attend, thanked the presence and great work of Juan Antonio Férnandez, as well as the assistance of the attendees.
He also encouraged initiatives such as Totana and the "La Cárcel" Sociocultural Center to have a great deal of history yet to be known.
