More than thirty Local Police and Civil Protection personnel will integrate the Security and Emergency device on the occasion of the All Saints' Day, which will be activated on Tuesday, October 31 and will end on November 2, coinciding with the celebration of the traditional Mass of Animas (17:00 hours).
According to sources from the Department of Public Safety and Emergencies, a total of 26 Local Police officers are expected to participate in the device in shifts in the morning and afternoon, so that in some shifts there will be more than one patrol in the area.
Patrols of the Local Police will remain in the vicinity and areas bordering the municipal cemetery "Nuestra Señora del Carmen" during these days in order to provide coverage to this traffic and security service in the area.
In addition, the device will also have a dozen volunteers of Civil Protection, who coordinated by Local Police, will perform work to control vehicle access and pedestrians in parking spaces and access roads to and from the cemetery.
The regular bus line will reinforce and extend its service as usual these days and will make a stop every 20 minutes in the municipal cemetery for those who want to use urban transport can do so.
For its part, the Department of Services has carried out in recent weeks numerous works for the maintenance and display of the cemetery for these days, such as the review of lighting services, thorough cleaning of the cemetery, installation of faucets, fumigation and pruning of the woodland, among other actions.
In this regard, the mayor Víctor Balsas has reported that all taps in the cemetery have been changed;
and work has been undertaken on repainting of horizontal signage, painting of urban furniture, such as doors and benches;
and it has proceeded to the interior cleaning of the enclosure and of the space of the rambla that is used of parking.
He also explained that in recent days have been carried out work to refurbish gardening, by pruning the hedges to the parking lots and the cemetery itself in order to look in appropriate conditions.
In addition, the Council of the Cemetery reminds users and companies that they are carrying out works inside the cemetery of this town, that tomorrow 25 of October, they will have to stop those actions in order that the enclosure is in the due conditions of cleaning and decoration in the face of the All Saints' Day.
Once celebrated on the day of the Animas, on November 2, work may be restarted that would have been pending or are going to be executed, according to Councilman Victor Balsas.
Similarly, it is reported that during that time period, access to all kinds of vehicles is restricted for placement of flowers in the following schedule:
OCTOBER 31: From 6 to 8 hours;
from 14 to 15 hours and from 19 to 23 hours.
DAYS 1 AND 2 OF NOVEMBER: From 6 to 8 hours.
In addition, both individuals and florists are requested that once the floral arrangement of pits, niches or pantheons has been completed, proceed to collect and clean any remains that may remain.
