The Department of Works and Infrastructures reports that the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz" will be closed to the public temporarily from next October 9 in order to proceed with the dismantling of infrastructure and the beginning of works to improve the site .
The works themselves will start on Monday, October 16 but the week before the municipal workers will dedicate to dismantle and condition the entire enclosure for the execution of the planned actions, according to the mayor Víctor Balsas.
In this way, it will only open on Wednesday mornings coinciding with the celebration of the weekly market so that users can make use of the toilets located inside the same.
The rehabilitation works of the children's playground in the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz" begin during this month of September, after being awarded the contract to the mercantile "Wondergrass, SL", for the price of 81,070 euros, remember the councilman of the branch.
This action is going to be undertaken by the Department of Services to the City in view of the need for the contract, as the existing playground in the "Marcos Ortiz" municipal park is quite deteriorated, requiring rehabilitation that would result in the benefit of the users of this locality.
The works financed by the Regional Action Plan for the Dynamization of Works and Municipal Services 2016 (PARDOS) of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
Among these are the rehabilitation of the children's playground in the municipal park, which means that the Autonomous Community finances 74,500 euros of the total work, says Balsas.
