[From now on, vegetable fires can be carried out exclusively on barbecues in the areas of "El Ángel" and "El Grifo"
The councils of Environment and Emergencies of the City of Totana remember that users and visitors can now carry out vegetable fires to cook in the barbecues enabled in the places of "El Ángel" from 1 October until early next summer. and "El Grifo", next to the Sanctuary of La Santa.
Since last June 1 was totally prohibited the realization of fire in the barbecues existing in the different places and recreational areas distributed by the natural park of Sierra Espuña.
There was this prohibition, as every summer, to cook in the mountains with barbecues as well as using gascamps, under the measures set out in the INFOMUR Plan.
Therefore, from now on this measure is extinguished allowing to carry out controlled fire, with all due precautions, exclusively in the spaces enabled for it.
Civil Protection appreciates the collaboration of all users and visitors to the Sierra de Espuña throughout the year and particularly during the summer months in order to avoid unpleasant accidents on the natural environment, more in a summer of extreme drought like that has been registered.
