The Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia has awarded a subsidy to the City of Totana for 10,797 euros, co-financed by the European Social Fund, to carry out a project to reconcile work life , personal and family, during the upcoming Christmas school holidays.
According to sources inform the Youth Department, the project is a school in non-school period, specifically for the Christmas holidays of this next school year 2017/2018.
In addition, it will be aimed at the care of minors, with enrollment in the Infant and Primary Education centers of the totanero municipality, aged between 3 and 12 years, whose parents work or participate in training actions for employment.
This project is adapted to the work needs of the municipality and includes educational activities, with leisure and leisure time monitors.
Last year, which already celebrated the Christmas School, a total of 75 children from Totana benefited, with an increase in the amount of the subsidy with respect to the previous year, in order to reach a greater number of participants and expand the squares considerably.
With this type of services, the City Council contributes to compliance with the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination between women and men in accessing the world of work, as well as promoting employability and self-employment, according to the same sources.
