The plenary session of the City Council of Totana approved last night, with the favorable votes of the PSOE, Ganar Totana-IU and the mayor not attached and the abstention of the PP, the adjustment plan that is necessary to request the Ministry of Finance and Public Function the new needs For the 2018 financial year.
These will be granted through the mechanism of the Ordinance Fund regulated by Royal Decree Law 17/2014, of December 26, of measures of financial sustainability of the Autonomous Communities and Local Entities.
The agreement provides for the formalization of a credit operation in the aforementioned frame of reference for a maximum global amount of 1,575,136.76 euros, all with the purpose of meeting the financial needs of the mechanism of the Ordinance Fund in order to face The payment of the final judicial sentences received in recent months.
This operation had to be ratified with the corresponding plenary agreement, as it has occurred in the previous procedures processed in the ambit of these Ordinance Funds.
The City Council has, since the fourth quarter of 2016, a Plan of Adjustment within the scope of said legislation, which was approved by a plenary agreement in July 2016, which is the plan that determines the basis for carrying out the modifications to it If necessary, in relation to the new financing requirements for the 2018 financial year.
After approval of the operation in full, an agreement will be signed with the Ministry to pay in 10 years with two years of grace.
The most noteworthy concepts of this payment of judgments are interest, arrears interest and costs for a total of 1,100,012 euros, as well as capital whose amount of 475,124 euros, which correspond to two final judgments, as informed by the councilor of Hacienda, Ana María Cánovas.
